May 17, 2011

Dr. Adrianne Noe, director of the National Museum of Health and Medicine, and Capt. Christopher Daniel, MC, USN, U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC), take a look at the Union Maj. Gen. Daniel E. Sickles exhibit installed outside the office of Maj. Gen. James K. Gilman, Commanding General of USAMRMC and Fort Detrick.

Maj. Gen. James K. Gilman positions the leg of Union Maj. Gen. Daniel E. Sickles in the exhibit case that will stand outside of his office until the Museum reopens at its new location at the Fort Detrick–Forest Glen Annex in Silver Spring, Md.

Alan Hawk, collections manager of the Museum’s historical collections, and Steve Hill, exhibits manager, place a case cover over the Union Maj. Gen. Daniel E. Sickles exhibit. The display has been placed outside Maj. Gen. James K. Gilman’s office.
