Reckoning in Stone: Jill Lion on breast cancer

The breast cancer exhibit which opened at  the National  Museum of Health & Medicine on November 8,1997 focused  on the patient's experience, not the science of disease. The exhibit  titled, Reckoning in Stone: Jill Lion on Breast Cancer, featured collected works by the Baltimore artist that document her singular response to the threat of catastrophic illness, and the eventual loss of her breasts.
