Student Evaluation Artworks from 2009 BAW

"I loved going to the museum. My favorite parts were holding the brain, smelling the samples, playing with the ball (sending signals), and chasing the light. It was fun to hold the brain that is 64 years old and was in a person who sadly died from cancer. It was also fun using our ‘smelling memory.’ I also liked playing with the ball to see the way our body sends signals. Lastly, I enjoyed chasing the light, it was fun but hard. I hope to go to the museum again."

"I drew my group (some of my group). We’re passing the brain around and I’m excited."

"I think the coolest thing I did at the Museum was holding a real human brain. Earlier in the year we dissected fetal pigs and our team successfully removed the brain. I was amazed at the similarities between the two brains, but holding the actual brain of a brave volunteer was far superior. Thank you!"

"I liked Archie’s station when we had to get the light which was a bug, but we couldn’t see clearly. THANK YOU!"

"The station where we got to pretend we were neurons was awesome! I learned that the myelin sheath helped the impulse travel through the body faster. It was a really fun station because we got to play with it and act it out. I hope I can come back. I learned a lot. It was great."

"My favorite part was when we were doing the exercise part because I thought it was a good break from everything else. Thank you so much!!!!!"
