1 Unpaid Undergraduate/Graduate Internship (10-15 hours per week)
Job Description
The selected candidate will assist NMHM collections staff from either the Anatomical and/or the Neuroanatomical collections. Anatomical collections consist of normal and pathological specimens of bone and soft tissue. Neuroanatomical collections consist of normal and pathological human, and non-human histological brain sections.
Job Duties:
• Assist collections managers in daily activities.
• Update and manage museum collections’ database.
• Provide assistance in ongoing research projects.
• Develop independent research projects using NMHM collections.
• Complete special projects when assigned.
Qualifications:
• Upper-level undergraduate, post-graduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in biology or biology–related field,
anthropology and/or museum studies.
• Research and basic computer skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Sharp attention to detail, creative thinker and self-starter.
