Convergent Evolution in relation to bat and chicken wings
Bat Wing vs. Chicken Wing The Bat is a mammal whose closest relative branch is that of the primates. Bats develop inside their mother gaining essential nutrients via the placenta. There are many different types of bats including the myotis lucifungus, the myotis californicus and the myotis velifer which are the bat specimens in the H. D. A. C. collection.
Chicken Wings The chicken is a bird. It hatches from an egg that is incubated outside of the mother chicken. The chicken was instrumental in embryology as the developing chicken can be observed while still within the egg.
